Red Onion Hoagies & Pizza in Betdel Park

I've been ordering from red onion since I was a young girl! Thre hoagies are my favorite but the pizza is also amazing!

Best pizza in Pittsburgh....

The pizza was very tasty and the order was delivered hot, everything about the pizza was perfect and we appreciated the side of ranch we ordered, it was the perfect amount and paired with the pizza perfectly. Our delivery person was very kind and personable. He was also enthusiastic and friendly.

Pizza was very good. I really liked the half pepperoni and half sausage pizza.

I order delivery from Red Onion regularly. Their baked subs are wonderful - it's not like a lot of places with soggy lettuce and fatty meats. You can tell Red Onion cares about the quality of the food they send out. They also have a pretty large menu with options sure to please most anyone. Their delivery drivers are prompt and friendly. On Halloween everyone around was over an hour wait for delivery, but Red Onion got pizza to us in 30 minutes and it was delicious. Highly recommended!

We have been a customer since we moved here 2 years ago and absolutely love everything that comes out of their kitchen!

This place has really good food. Iv had their Gyros, Pizza, Subs, and my new favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Never had an issue with service. Highly recommend.

The pizza and hoagies are good, better than average in my opinion. Strangely the last few times I've ordered, their website is down which is kind of annoying. Luckily I have an old menu but the prices are out of date

I have always had a good experience with the service and quality of food at Red Onion.. I have ordered their Gyro's, Pizza, and Calzones .. I also only Pick-up, as I eat there occasionally on my lunch break. So can't speak for their delivery..

Hands down the best pizza in the south hills! I've been ordering from them since I moved here 7 years ago and have never had a single bad meal. HIGHLY recommended!

Order from there multiple times a week whether it's at work or home. Food is great and will never think of ordering anywhere else. Keep up the good work guys !! Customer for life.

Theres not a thing i wouldnt recommend to order. Ive tried almost everything off of the menu and have yet to be let down. I also highly recommend their lunch specials! You wont waste your money here.

Love this place! Food is excellent and their delivery service is really quick. I own a business right down the street and we order every week and won't go anywhere else.

absolutely rude phone person and manager luke I beleive it was I called to place an order like I have for the last i dont even know how many years. using the special they have listed on their website which I usually get and was told we arent accepting coupons anymore even though its on their website. I asked a simple question as to why they were not sccepting the coupons and was very rudely told DO I WANT TO PLACE AN ORDER OR NOT. I asked to talk to a manager and was hung up on. called back and asked again and was told by the manager oh well we don't have to accept them

I ordered food but got the wrong stuff-when I called back to tell them I got Sean the sons owner who said we repeat what you get,I just said I was calling to let you know in hopes they would deliver what I wanted. This did not happen-he was not very polite & said we normally do not do this but I will deliver the correct food but you need to give me the food we sent you back with the delivery guy, I have never in my 50 years on earth had a restaurant/food chain asked me for the food back, Not sanitary at all nor professional in any way. I ordered from a business in which 5 of us ordered that day but since this-we will no longer. It was my first time & my very last. It should not matter if it was ordered wrong (we are all human & do make mistakes) but his response was not acceptable to me or my peers. Keep running your business like this & you will not have it.

Good food but extremely slow the last 2 times I carried out. The 1st time was understandable as it was very busy and hectic. This last time they told me the food would be ready in 20 minutes and I ended up waiting at the restaurant an additional 20 minutes so the food took 40 minutes total. This was only for 2 hoagies and chicken tenders so it's not like it was a large order. They also weren't busy as I saw maybe 3 or 4 other customers total. I was the only customer in there for about the last 10 minutes and during that time I could hear the employees in the kitchen joking, laughing and singing Last Resort by Papa Roach. If I hadn't have paid already, I would've walked out and grabbed some food somewhere else. When my food came, the woman offered me a free 2 litre drink for the wait which I didn't really care for but took anyway. Not sure what's changed as I used to order from here quite frequently but lately it's been more of a hassle than it's worth.

Luke and Erykah are AMAZING! They are the most pleasant people I have ever dealt with here. Erykah answered the phone and couldn’t be sweeter. She was calm, informative, and patient. Luke was the manager. I had to talk to him to get an answer on a special request. He was extremely accommodating and couldn’t have been nicer. Because of these two, I’m excited to order from here next time.

Outstanding food and service. They can be busy at times and the food may take some time, but it is so worth the wait. The quality of the food is insane. I've had almost everything off of the menu and I can't complain. Their salads are by far the best salads I have ever had anywhere, including restaurants.

First time ordering from these folks today and I must saw I was absolutely pleased. We ordered 2 pizzas, wings, and a salad for my daughter's stay-at-home birthday party. She was dying for pizza and since we recently moved to the area, we're still exploring local foods. I have to say the pizza was just the way I like it. The crust was crisp with just the right thickness on both. The toppings on a single topping pepperoni were ample- and they're the little pepperonis that cook into little cups :). The other pizza was the garden veggie. So many toppings! delicious! Garden salad was fresh, yet simple. Reasonably priced at $5. My 9 year old was thrilled with the basic mild buffalo wings. I agree quite tasty. Even more impressive was the promise to deliver in an hour and we had it in hand in 40 minutes. Would definitely order again!

I’ve never had anything bad here but I have not had a huge variety. The cheese steak had a great flavor, pizzas are pretty good, but the gyro calzone is my go to. Gotta have it with the taziki sauce. Took a star off for the pick up estimate times. I’ve arrived multiple times right when my order is supposed to be ready, only to wait 10-20 minutes longer for it to be complete. I get they get swamped so it’s not a big deal. If they estimated the wait better it would be more ideal.

Excellent Friendly Service! Best Gyro in the Burg. All sandwiches are quality meats and cheeses with very fresh veggies. Pizza is incredible too.. very generous with toppings on all dishes.

Hands down the best hoagie and pizza establishment in the Pittsburgh area! Their Rancher sandwiches are orgasmic and the salads always come with a generous amount of cheese! 5/5 stars

I read reviews of past 2 yrs. Most gave many stars. I give Red Onion 5 stars. Never get my food by delivery. Pick up a hoagie or salad your self and enjoy. Best with in mile of home. But the cashiers are not very nice. The only point I agree w on one star review I read. Nice, Clean at fair prices.

Italian hoagies are incredible! Get the large pizza and hoagie deal, it's worth it. We try to pick up to save on the delivery fees.

The food is very good. Especially the hoagies in my opinion. Sadly I had a bad experience with an employee when there was a problem with my order. There was a mixup in the order, which was understandable because they were very busy on this Friday evening. This employee was in the kitchen and he was yelling at the two nice ladies at the front desk to pick up the phone while they were trying to help my friend and I (probably the reason why my order was messed up in the first place). He was also rude to me, treating me like an idiot because the store couldn’t find my order. Needless to say I was very disappointed when I left the store, and just went elsewhere to order food for the night, which is a shame because the food is very good.

Great hoagies. Pizza is pretty good and the wings are great. It's hard to find a good hoagie it seems like anymore but red onion has a very decent Italian hoagie, their steak and mushroom hoagie is really good too

Really good food and outstanding pizza, but they are usually running behind when I do pick-up. I really like their pizza sauce and Italian hoahie. They are usually pretty busy so expect the front staff to be short and to the point.

Best pizza in the South hills. Amazing veggie calzone, not stuffed with ricotta like a lot of places do. Very nice staff as well.
